Swimming Lessons

We signed up Alex for swim lessons again this year. He was in a private class again - it's a bit more expensive than a group class, but we feel the value is really there as he gets 100% of the attention of the teacher for the entire 30 minutes, plus it's safer as the teacher is always with him.

He did such an amazing job. He's just on the brink of being able to swim by himself. He can swim for a short bit, but then he tends to sink a bit and then right himself, etc. He's not the least bit scared of the water (thankfully) and got to do some fun things with the teacher, including jumping off the diving board, going down the HUGE spiral slide on his last class and also jumping from the lifeguard's chair into the water.

Here's a few pictures from the lesson where one parent is allowed to take part with the teacher.
